Food Pantry

People to People's Food Pantry provides non-perishable foodstuffs, fresh fruit and vegetables, poultry, dairy products and more each month to more than 500 Rockland County, NY families struggling to put food on the table.

People to People counts on the kindness of strangers (to quote Blanche DuBois) and the support of its many friends to keep its Food Pantry shelves stocked.

What can you do to help?

Encourage your church, civic group or professional association to hold a food drive for People to People.

We'll provide the materials and technical assistance if you'll provide the People we need To help People.

Dress Barn Clothes Closet

A winter coat, a baby's "onesie," a suit to wear on a job interview - these little things can make a large difference to someone's life.

People to People welcomes donations of gently-used and clean clothes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Donations of housewares, including sheets, blankets, plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery and small (very small) appliances including microwave ovens, toaster ovens and small televisions are definitely welcomed and definitely needed.

Donated houseware items must be in perfect condition (no broken or chipped dinnerware, no torn or stained bedding, no electrical fires waiting to happen).

Back to School with Dignity (BTSWD)

Education is a widely acknowledged as the critical component in breaking the cycle of poverty. That's what makes BTSWD so significant.

Back to School with Dignity provides essential school supplies to at-risk Rockland County students whose families simply don't have the money to buy all the school supplies their kids need when going back to school.

BTSWD makes it possible for these students to start the new school year on a level playing field.

The Family Fund

The Family Fund provides a one-time annual award to individuals or families facing a significant crisis in basic needs including eviction, utility service termination, transportation, medication and more.

The Family Fund is administered by an ad-hoc team that convenes weekly to review Family Fund requests and to help identify those Family Fund requests that People to People can support.
